Ideas and Energy

Ideas and energy are the true currency of this world. Ideas (including the inspiration for all action, not just human thoughts) cause energy to flow. Energy can neither be created nor destroyed and flows with or without human intervention but it can be transferred by our actions into forms that are both not available to us in the short-term or actually harmful to us in the short and longer term. Therefore it is in our own interest to assist the process of allowing energy to flow from forms that we can benefit from to forms that can be recycled back for our use in the relatively short-term. This is the process of sustainability and alternative actions will jeopardise our survival. Altruism has its rewards and they are more persistent than those of selfishness.
